About the event
If you love using reusable bags, this is a workshop for you!
This Canberra crochet workshop aims to provide you with a solid foundation for creating a crochet market bag adorned with a decorative mandala base. Crafted with 100% organic cotton yarn for both sustainability and durability, it is the perfect reusable bag for an eco-conscious lifestyle. Its large size is ideal for the shops or a trip to the pool.
The pattern is written in UK terms and includes a diagram to assist with the base. Converting to US terms can be discussed during the class.
The class is suitable for crocheters with experience in basic stitches. Building on from the basics, we'll work through the following stitches to make the bag:
- Magic Loop
- Double treble crochet
- Triple treble crochet
- Front post crochet stitches
We'll be working with Laines Du Nord, Organic Cotton in 5ply. Closer to our workshop, we'll ask you to choose your colour. Your skeins will be wound into cakes prior to the class.
