Nettle

Himalayan nettle also called Allo, is cultivated from the stem of the nettle plant. It requires little water or protection from pests and diseases to grow making it environmentally friendly in comparison to other plant fibres.
Nettle is a finer fibre than hemp with more washes, the fibre will soften.
 
This yarn is fair trade product, hand spun in Nepal using natural methods with no chemical processing.
 
Sold by weight, approx. 200m per 100g
